What oxidation is

Sun, rain and road film slowly break down the top layer of gel coat and paint. The surface turns chalky to the touch, colors fade and gloss disappears. Left alone, it keeps getting worse.

Restoring the finish

After a thorough wash and clay decontamination, we machine polish the affected surfaces with compounds and pads suited to gel coat, working carefully around graphics, trim and seals. Following up with protection, such as a ceramic coating, slows oxidation from coming back.

I had a latte mishap and my car smelled like spoiled milk… They worked on my car for 3 hours and the price was very reasonable for the quality of work.

Ask us a question
How much does RV polishing cost?

An RV exterior detail with a 1-step polish runs $799 to $1,799 by length, and a 2-step polish $1,099 to $2,599. Heavy oxidation removal and severe defect correction are quoted separately. It takes about 1 to 2 days.

Can all oxidation be removed?

Light and moderate oxidation usually polishes out well. Very heavy oxidation can be greatly improved, but badly worn gel coat may not return to new.

How do I keep oxidation from coming back?

Protect the finish after polishing, cover or shade the RV when it is stored, and wash it regularly. A ceramic coating gives the longest-lasting protection.
