What paint correction fixes
Most swirl marks and haze live in the clear coat, the thin protective layer on top of the color. Paint correction uses machine polishers, pads and compounds to level that layer so it reflects light cleanly again. It can reduce swirl marks, wash marring, light scratches, water spotting and oxidation.
- Spider-web swirls from automatic washes
- Dull, chalky or faded paint
- Light scratches that have not gone through the clear coat
- Hazy finish and water spots
One-step or multi-step
A one-step polish is a big improvement for most daily drivers. Paint with heavier defects may need a multi-step correction: a cutting stage followed by a refining polish. We inspect the paint first and recommend the level that fits its condition and your goals.
The best base for a ceramic coating
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, defects included. Correcting the paint first means the coating protects a clear, glossy finish.
